Lady Gaga drops hypnotic new ‘Queendom’ video and prepare to freak out, because it’s peak Gaga

Lady Gaga Dom Pérignon

Lady Gaga just dropped what’s probably the closest fans are going to get to a new Chromatica video anytime soon: a collaborative film made with Dom Pérignon.

The singer has teamed up with the vintage champagne brand for a campaign dubbed the Queendom, and because Lady Gaga doesn’t do anything by half, it’s actually pretty iconic.

The Dom Pérignon video, filmed by Lady Gaga’s long-term collaborator Nick Knight, begins with the star posing in suitably flamboyant dresses designed by Haus of Gaga as Chromatica track “Free Woman” plays in the background.

Titled “Creative Freedom is Power”, the minute-long clip sees Lady Gaga trapped inside a crystal ball, while another long-nailed Gaga wraps her hands around it. Throughout the clip, Gaga poses with a bottle of Dom Pérignon.

“Dom Pérignon is proud to present an inspiring collaboration with Lady Gaga,” the description on the video reads.

“With creative visionary Nick Knight, Dom Pérignon and Lady Gaga have created the Queendom: a world where absolute creative freedom rules. A world born from the collision of their two effervescent energies.

“It invites us to move forward and embrace this power for ourselves, to encourage it and affirm it for everyone to see.”

As part of the campaign, Lady Gaga will raise funds for the Born This Way Foundation by selling 110 personally-designed sculptures, which enfold the Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2006.

Of course, new Gaga content sent fans into an immediate frenzy.

Lady Gaga created an ‘artistic universe’ for her Dom Pérignon collaboration

The partnership is expected to last two years, with other collaborations between Lady Gaga and Dom Pérignon yet to be announced.

Gaga first announced her campaign with Dom Pérignon on Instagram last week. Sharing beautifully crafted photography, she wrote: “Dom Pérignon and I are both driven by the need for creative freedom and we’re excited to share the Queendom with you, an artistic universe we created with my dear friend Nick Knight.”

The partnership comes just weeks after Gaga was spotted on the set of her new film, House of Gucci, which is currently filming in Italy.

The film will tell the real-life story of the murder that rocked the Gucci family in the 1990s, when the legendary fashion designer’s grandson Maurizio Gucci was shot dead.

Gaga will play Patrizia Reggiani, Maurizio’s ex-wife, in the film. Patrizia was later convicted of plotting Maurizio’s murder and served 18 years in prison for his shooting on the steps of an office building in Milan in 1995.

Adam Driver plays Maurizio in the hotly-anticipated film, while Al Pacino, Jared Leto, Jack Huston, Reeve Carney and Jeremy Irons will also star.
