Lady Gaga is sending fans into a frenzy as she lives out the ultimate Gucci fantasy with Adam Driver on the set of her new film, House of Gucci.

The star’s latest transformation sees her step into the shoes of “Black Widow” Patrizia Reggiani, the Italian socialite and former Gucci heiress convicted of plotting the assassination of her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci.

Maurizio, played by Star Wars actor Driver, was the grandson of the legendary Gucci founder Guccio Gucci. He was shot dead on the steps of an office building by a hitman hired by Reggiani in 1995.

House of Gucci will also star Al Pacino, Jared Leto, Jack Huston, Reeve Carney and Jeremy Irons, and is expected to be released around Thanksgiving this year.

Photographs of Gaga and Driver in costume at a snowy Alpine location have already ascended to meme status, but fans were given an extra treat as more images emerged from the set in Como and Milan.

Gaga oozes elegance in her chic Italian outfits and bouffant 90s ‘do, the image of Patrizia Reggiani, while her on-screen husband looks equally sharp in tailored suits and turtlenecks.

The pair were all smiles as they shared bread rolls in a scene in Milan’s Piazza del Duomo, which ended with Lady Gaga playfully stuffing the food in Adam Driver’s mouth.

In another scene he can be seen lifting her into a boat before rowing off to sea – presumably part of filming, and not to escape the eagle-eyed paparazzi lens. Either way, we can’t wait to see more.
