Godzilla vs Kong: How to watch in the UK as the delayed blockbuster gets a digital release
The much-anticipated blockbuster Godzilla vs Kong is getting a digital release in the UK on 1 April.
Godzilla vs Kong was originally expected to have a theatrical release in November 2020 but it was delayed due to the pandemic.
Some fans may want to wait to watch the face-off between thicc thighed legend Godzilla and muscle daddy King Kong on the big screen when cinemas reopen in England this May, but if you can’t wait until then it’s available to rent from Amazon Prime Video, Sky Store and iTunes for £15.99.
The action blockbuster pits two of cinema’s greatest characters against each other for the first time since 1962.
It’s a sequel to both 2017’s Kong: Skull Island and 2019’s Godzilla: King of Monsters and sees the pair clash in a battle for the ages.
The plot reads: “Kong and his protectors undertake a perilous journey to find his true home, and with them is Jia, a young orphaned girl with whom he has formed a unique and powerful bond.
“But they unexpectedly find themselves in the path of an enraged Godzilla, cutting a swath of destruction across the globe. The epic clash between the two titans—instigated by unseen forces—is only the beginning of the mystery that lies deep within the core of the Earth.”
It stars Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown and Kyle Chandler who reprise their roles from the previous films, and introduces new characters played by Rebecca Hall, Bryan Tyree Henry and Shun Oguri.
