The official RuPaul’s Drag Race UK tour has added extra dates due to huge demand.

The tour will be extended by 10 shows after fans snapped up tickets for the originally-announced dates, with tickets going on sale at 9am on Friday, 2 April via Ticketmaster.

The performances will take place between 28 February and 2 April in 2022, heading to the likes of Birmingham, London, Ipswich, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Bristol.

The news of more shows comes after confusion among fans and the queens themselves about who would actually be appearing on the tour’s lineup.

Although the poster only featured the finalists (Lawrence Chaney, Bimini, Tayce and Ellie Diamond) it said that the show would “star the season two finalists and queens of Drag Race UK.”

However a number of the series two cast including Joe Black, A’Whora, Ginny Lemon and Veronica Green confirmed to their social media followers that they simply weren’t invited onto the tour and that, “only the top 4 will be doing the official Drag Race tour. The rest of us will be divvied out slots.”

Since then it seems that World of Wonder and Drag Race UK have backtracked and ‘officially’ confirmed that all of the series two queens will appear across the tour, much to the delight of the fans.

Ginny Lemon, who was one of the most vocal queens to speak out about the tour’s cast tweeted: “After huge public demand I am delighted to announce @WorldOfWonder have now decided to include the full cast for the tour! Thank you all much so much to the fans who have demanded to see us season 2 queens, this really means a lot to us that the public care so much so thank you.

“For me this is amazing because I get to do what I do best and love which is performing and meeting people from all across the UK! I’m so excited to meet you all have a good laugh coz CRIKEY WE NEED IT,” they added.

Another was Veronica Green who credited the fans for getting the entire cast on the official tour: “Thanks to all the fans for your support. Without you and your love for the season 2 queens this couldn’t have happened!”

While judge Michelle Visage also appeared to confirm it to questioning fans by retweeting World of Wonder’s updated tour poster simply saying: “this….officially.”

The extra dates start at the end of February at the London Palladium and run throughout March and into April, finishing up at Ipswich’s Regent Theatre.

Tickets are priced between £40-£140 and those for the newly announced shows go on sale at 9am on Friday, 2 April via Ticketmaster.
