Drag Race UK star Joe Black is raffling off that infamous H&M dress for an incredible cause

Joe Black is raffling that H&M dress for charity, giving you the chance to own a real piece of Drag Race herstory.

The dress that launched a thousand tweets will be sold for Sussex Beacon, a Brighton-based charity providing specialist care for those living with HIV.

“Do you love raffles? Do you love helping charity? Do you love fashion that can evoke emotion in television hosts?” the star asked on Twitter.

“I am raffling off my infamous *whispers* H&M – dress for Sussex Beacon. Helping people living with HIV in the Sussex area.”

“Fagin gloves not included,” unfortunately.

Joe Black told the charity: “I am so happy that the most dramatic and infamous fashion choice on television this year can be turned into something that can genuinely impact and help people.

“So it is my absolute pleasure to be handing this over to the Sussex Beacon and hopefully together we can help raise a lot of money for a charity doing such fantastic work. Fashion changes lives but only if a television host is really, really angry about it.”

RuPaul really, really was. The judge exploded when she learned the dress was “off the rack”, telling Joe: “That’s what everyday people do, and you should know that because you are a star.

“This goes to all of you up here: if it is from H&M, then you better glitter the f**k out of it and make it something special. We’re looking for Great Britain’s Next Superstar, don’t waste my time.

“I don’t want to see any f**king H&M.”

Fortunately not everyone shares her hatred for the much-maligned frock, as the raffle already has 800 entries within a day of it being announced.

Entry is £2.50 and the competition closes at 18.00 on 1 June 2021, unless all 1,000,000 tickets sell beforehand. The winner will receive the infamous dress, framed.
