Manchester Pride 2021 tickets: How to get them, prices and everything you need to know

Manchester Pride 2021 tickets go on sale Friday (4 March). Here’s how get your hands on one.

The Pride festival recently announced that it will make a triumphant return across the August bank holiday weekend as it works to deliver “all of the traditional elements” expected.

Taking place 27-30 August, it will see the return of MCR Live which will go ahead in a smaller venue with capacity reduced by 50 per cent to ensure safety.

All the other popular elements of the weekend will return including the Village Party in and around Canal Street, the parade and the Candlelit Vigil.

With some notable changes happening to MCR Live it’s likely that tickets will be in higher demand than previous years.

How to get Manchester Pride 2021 tickets

Tickets for MCR Pride Live and the Gay Village Party go on sale at 9am on Thursday, 4 March via ticketmaster.co.uk/manchesterpride.

MCR Pride Live tickets are priced at £38.50 or £69.50 for a day or weekend pass.

Gay Village Party tickets are priced at £15 or £22.50 for a day or weekend pass, while low income tickets are half price for all events on a first come first served basis.

If your preferred ticket choice is more than £35 then you can spread the cost with a buy now pay later option at checkout.

Those who had tickets for Manchester Pride 2020 and chose to roll them over to 2021 don’t need to do anything as your place is secured. You’ll receive further details from your point of purchase.

If you’re after tickets for other events taking place including Superbia Weekend and Youth Pride MCR, then they will be released over the coming months.

When is Manchester Pride 2021?

Manchester Pride Festival will take place across 27-30 August with a number of events including live music, arts and culture, community and family and youth activities.

Who’s on the Manchester Pride 2021 lineup?

This year’s lineup is yet to be revealed, with organisers saying, “we will be making exciting announcements over the coming weeks and months”.

The last Manchester Pride which took place in 2019 saw performances from Ariana Grande, Years & Years, Cheryl and Kim Petras.

We’ll update this as soon as the first names across all events are announced, so watch this space.

What happens if Manchester Pride 2021 is cancelled?

If, unfortunately, the festival still can’t go ahead because of COVID restrictions then organisers are offering a flexi promise that “all tickets will be automatically rolled over to 2022 and you’ll have your place guaranteed for next year”.

And if the festival cannot take place in person this year then organisers will celebrate LGBT+ life in Manchester through a digital festival that will be ‘bigger and better’ than 2020’s virtual event.

They have also said: “We understand that many people will be curious and anxious about how we will be managing COVID-19 safety.

“We are constantly developing and updating our policies and procedures in line with government guidance and advice, details of which will be communicated to ticket buyers before the event.”
