Lady Gaga’s dog stayed with walker after he was shot and left for dead: ‘An angel trotted over and laid next to me’

Ryan Fisher Lady Gaga dog walker hospital

Lady Gaga’s dog walker Ryan Fisher said Asia, one of the pop star’s dogs, was a “guardian angel” after he was shot by dognappers.

Fisher, 30, posted pictures from the hospital on Instagram saying he had a “very close call with death” after being shot while two of Lady Gaga’s three French bulldogs were stolen.

The dog walker said an “angel trotted over and laid next to me” as blood poured from his gunshot wound. He said his “panicked screams” calmed down as he looked at Asia. He said: “I cradled Asia as best I could, thanked her for all the incredible adventures we’d been on together, apologised that I couldn’t defend her brothers and then resolved that I would still try to save them… and myself.”

Fisher said he “looked back at my guardian angel” as he focused on giving descriptions of the missing dogs to police amid “forceful pleas for the urgency of my care”. He added that he was “thankful that at least [Asia] would be OK”.

‘Still in recovery from a very close call with death’

In a subsequent post on Instagram, Fisher said he was still in recovery from his “close call with death”. He added that he will be sharing more details in the future, but the “gratitude for all the love I feel from around this planet is immense and intense”.

He said he was “humbled and grateful” that the attention and focus from the police were enough to get Koji and Gustav – Lady Gaga’s dogs who were kidnapped and then returned – “back to safety”. Fisher added: “I know [the police] are committed to bringing these criminals and attempted murderers to justice.”

‘Lady Gaga, your babies are back and the family is whole’

He shared his joy that Lady Gaga had been reunited with her “babies” and that her family is once again “whole”.

Lady Gaga will reportedly pay for Fisher’s whopping £70,000 medical bill after he was shot by two men who stole her dogs. Fisher was walking along Sierra Bonita Avenue in Hollywood, Los Angeles when two people got out of a white car and demanded he hand Gaga’s three French bulldogs over.

The two men then beat Fisher to the group and shot him in the chest after taking Koji and Gustav. Sources told The Sunday Mirror that Gaga feels “horrendous about what happened to Ryan and wants to make sure he is looked after”.

“She also wanted to compensate him for lost work and has been wishing him a speedy recovery,” the sources said.
