Jodie Foster kisses her wife after winning the Golden Globe for best supporting actor

Jodie Foster pulled the ultimate power move as she accepted the Golden Globe for best supporting actress from her couch with her wife and dog, in pyjamas.

The 58-year-old acting legend was honoured for her starring role in The Mauritanian, where she plays a lawyer representing one of the men accused of planning the 9/11 attacks.

When her win was announced Foster shared a happy kiss with her wife, both women serving serious lesbian energy in silk pyjama sets complete with a matching collar for their dog Ziggy.

“I’m a little speechless. I never expected to ever be here again,” Foster said, a nod to her three previous Golden Globe wins.

Foster was up against a stacked category of actresses including Glenn Close for Hillbilly Elegy, Olivia Colman for The Father, Amanda Seyfriend for Mank, and Helena Zengel for News of the World.

“I love my wife, thank you Alex!” she gushed in her acceptance speech, which also included a shoutout to Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Foster, a self-proclaimed Packers fan, has had a friendly back-and-forth with Rodgers since February when he thanked her after being named MVP at the NFL Honours show.

She later said on Jimmy Kimmel Live that she would return the favour and thank Rodgers if she won a Golden Globe, and she kept her promise.

But this unlikely crossover was mostly overshadowed by Jodie Foster’s incredible ready-for-bed look, which stood in stark contrast to the stars who got dolled up for the virtual ceremony – and fans were delighted to see it.

“Jodie Foster is living her best life,” tweeted one admiring viewer. “Here for Jodie Foster’s casual Big Lesbian Energy,” added another.

Meanwhile the The Mauritanian will get an international release on streaming service Amazon Prime Video from 1 April.
