Zendaya sends gay hearts fluttering with perfect response to ‘what do you most like in a man?’

Zendaya Vanity Fair

Emmy-winning actor Zendaya sent gay hearts fluttering when she swiftly corrected a gendered question about the quality she “most likes in a man”.

The Euphoria and Spider-Man actor is featured on the cover of this month’s Vanity Fair alongside other top Hollywood talent including Michael B Jordan and Charlize Theron. As part of the feature, she took part in the publication’s “Proust Questionnaire” video series, answering 35 probing questions about her life and personality.

Zendaya was asked what “quality you most like in a man”, and she quickly tore apart the hetero norm. She responded: “I most like in a person, how about that?”

Zendaya continued: “What is the quality I most like in someone?”

“Some people are just good people, and you can feel it,” she added. “I don’t know how to explain that, but there’s this little spark that they have or this little special thing that they have that just feel safe and happy around them.”

The interviewer then asked Zendaya what quality she most liked in a woman, and she responded it would be the same answer.

Zendaya, a gay icon.

One person shared a clip of Zendaya’s epic answer with the caption “exactly Zendaya”. The clip has garnered over 2.3m views.

Many were quick to draw similarities between Zendaya’s fantastic response and Marvel hero Brie Larson who recently whipped fans into a frenzy with a video on her YouTube channel.

In it, Larson answered a series of quiz questions, including one asking “how do you spend an hour of recess”. Larson responded: “Searching WikiHow on the library computer for ‘how do you know if you’re gay’.”

One person wrote: “Which is gayer: being gay or whatever the f**k Zendaya and Brie Larson got going on?”

Another person wrote their “aesthetic” is Zendaya, Larson and actor Florence Pugh “saying vaguely gay things”.
