Timothée Chalamet tipped to reunite with Call Me by Your Name director for new ‘cannibal love story’

Timothee Chalamet is rumoured to be reuniting with Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino for the leading role in a film described as a “cannibal love story”.

Titled Bones and All, the coming-of-age horror story will be an adaptation of the Camille DeAngelis novel about a woman goes on a road trip to understand her urge to kill and eat people.

There’s a lot to unpack here, not least because Chalamet’s Call Me By Your Name co-star Armie Hammer is currently trying to shake off claims that he is a secret cannibal.

The explosive scandal emerged after an ex-girlfriend shared unverified messages from Hammer (that he denies) purportedly outlining his grisly sexual fantasies, including an urge to “barbecue and eat” one of her ribs.

Messages sent to other women appear to show him asking to drink their blood and describing himself as “100 per cent a cannibal”.

This was soon followed by another ex-girlfriend who alleged the actor carved his initials into her groin, licking the wound and fantasising about consuming her.

Hammer, 34, fervently denies the “bulls**t claims” but has dropped out of an upcoming film with Jennifer Lopez nevertheless to focus on his family.

The actor has yet to comment on Timothee Chalamet’s latest career move, but his estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers appeared none too pleased when she heard the news.

Under a post about the project on the Just Jared Instagram page, Chambers left the comment: “No. Words.”

Chambers, a TV personality and entrepreneur who shares two children with Hammer, split amicably from the star in July 2020. She has not publicly addressed or alluded to the scandal until now.

Twitter users were also quick to speculate on the surprising timing of the film.
