Disney has announced the full lineup of shows and films joining its streaming platform next month on 23 February as part of the Star launch.

In total Disney+ will be adding 75 TV series, 270 movies and four Star originals to the service, including the much-anticipated Love, Simon spin-off series Love, Victor which makes it international debut.

The series controversially premiered in the US last year as it was moved to sister service Hulu due to its “adult themes”. This left British viewers disappointed as it didn’t make it to Disney+ in the UK.

But now fans will get to stream the new series on the Star branch of the platform which will launch on 23 February. It will be available alongside shows including Desperate Housewives, Scandal, Feud: Betty and Joan, Prison Break which stars openly gay actor Wentworth Miller and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Some of the films joining the platform include LGBT+ favourites like The Devil Wears Prada, the Madonna-frotned Evita, Jennifer’s Body, John Tucker Must Die, The Favourite, Moulin Rouge, Pretty Woman and Runaway Bride.

Other classic box sets confirmed to be joining the platform that are ideal to binge during lockdown include Grey’s Anatomy, The X-Files, Lost and 24, while a total of 1000 extra titles are expected to be added within the first year.

The Star platform will launch on Disney+ in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Europe from 23 February. It won’t launch in the US as this content is available on the Hulu platform.

In the UK viewers can subscribe to Disney+ for £5.99 per month or £59.99 annually, until 23 February when the sign-up price will go up to £7.99 per month or £79.99 annually.

However it’s worth noting that from 22 August the price for all current and new subscribers will go up to the higher bracket.
