Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and it looks like we’ll spending it in lockdown, so if you’re LGBT+ and looking for the perfect gift to make someone feel loved, then we’ve got you covered.

If you’re after a gift for your partner, friend or yourself for Valentine’s Day, then you could consider something that we use everyday, from mugs to tote bags and bracelets to socks.

This tote features and celebrates nine LGBT+ figures from history including activist Marsha P Johnson, openly gay athlete Billie Jean King, founder of the Black AIDS institute Phill Wilson and designer of the rainbow flag Gilbert Baker. If you want to let everyone know you’re gay without saying a word then use this tote bag which says ‘do you listen to Girl In Red?’ and you’ll be good to go. The handmade embroidery bag is inspired by the singer-songwriter, who is queer herself and has a large lesbian fanbase who joke that the quote is code for, ‘Are you a girl attracted to other girls?’

If you ever look at your shoes and think, ‘How could they be even gayer?’ then you’ll want to get yourself some rainbow laces. These ones are priced at £8.99 from Etsy and they’re a bestseller. The creator says: “I didn’t like the fussy designs of many pride shoelaces out there, and deeply wanted to create something with a much more streamlined look”. And if you want to accessorise your laces then these rainbow socks, featuring an embroidery of a rainbow are perfect. They’re part of a collection that comes in different colours. They’re priced from £4.50 each and are adjustable for different wrist sizes. The bracelet is part of a collection created by a seller on Etsy which also features lesbian, bisexual, asexual, pansexual and rainbow pride flag colours.
