Republican hate preacher thinks God booted Trump because he wasn’t homophobic enough

Scott Lively has claimed that God removed Donald Trump from office because he was too accepting of homosexuality.

Anti-gay Republican preacher Scott Lively has claimed that God removed Donald Trump from office because he was too accepting of homosexuality.

The homophobic Massachusetts preacher, who has twice attempted to run for governor in the state, made the claim on his Swamp Rangers internet show.

As noted by Right Wing Watch, Lively claimed that Trump had been right on everything “except the homosexual issue, which I think is his biggest mistake, and frankly I think it’s  the reason why he lost the election”.

Lively continued: “He defied God on a fundamental tenet of the Bible and never repented of it, doubled down on it. If any one thing could be said… if Donald Trump was, as I believe, God’s man in the White House for four years, why did God not preserve it?

“If God had given him favour, nothing that mankind could have done could have removed him from that office. They tried for four years, and yet the one thing that he did during that time that would virtually guarantee God’s favour being removed was to put his own personal stamp of approval on behaviour that God condemns in the harshest possible terms in the Bible, which is specifically male homosexuality.”

Republican preacher lashes out at Trumps for being ‘seduced’ by gay agenda.

Lively cited the appointment of Trump’s former acting director of national security Richard Grenell.

He said: “Trump fully endorsed and backed and applauded Grenell, and as much as I admire his loyalty and things that he did in standing up for Trump, he nevertheless was an outspoken advocate for the central doctrine of the progressive movement, which is queer theory.”

In a bizarre blog post, Lively expounded on his claims, blaming the ex-president’s daughter Ivanka Trump for being “seduced by the allure of queer theory pop-culture propaganda in all of its insidious forms, becoming the Eve in the garden of Trump’s own family, convincing him to eat the apple of pro-‘gay’ political correctness.”

Republican preacher Scott Lively has claimed that God removed Donald Trump from office because he was too accepting of homosexuality.

He continued: “Anyone who claims to be ‘conservative’ while normalizing false LGBT theories by claiming to be innately and proudly ‘gay,’ instead of telling people to mind their own business on all sexual privacy issues, is an intentional or self-deceived trojan horse for sexual anarchy, the most socially destructive force in human civilization.

“My advice to president Trump is to first apologise to God for defying his command and then, at minimum, pivot to a Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell philosophy, the only workable compromise between the secular society and the MAGA millions who rightfully insist that Christian family values and traditions must be protected for the survival of not just our nation, but humanity.”

It is unclear why exactly God would choose to replace Trump with Joe Biden, who has used his first days in office to put in place comprehensive LGBT+ discrimination protections and axe the hated ban on trans people in the military.

Lively added: “If God had wanted Donald Trump to remain in the presidency, nothing in heaven or earth could have dislodged him. Instead, just as first Israel and then Judah were expelled from the Holy Land by wicked conquerors for ignoring Leviticus 18, God allowed Donald Trump to be expelled from the White House by obviously corrupt and senile Joe Biden and his sneering Jezebel side-kick, riding a tidal wave of insultingly blatant election fraud.”

Hate preacher Scott Lively has an extreme anti-gay record.

Lively is reviled by LGBT+ activists for his work in pushing laws criminalising homosexuality, including Uganda’s now-defunct 2014 Anti-Homosexuality Act, and cheered on anti-gay legislation in Russia.

He also penned a controversial book, The Pink Swastika, that blames gay people for the Holocaust.

In 2018, Lively put himself forward in the Republican primary for Governor of Massachusetts, winning support from a third of GOP delegates despite his extremist anti-LGBT+ views.

The same year, a judge upheld a ruling describing Lively as a “crackpot bigot” who has caused “immense harm” around the world, after a lawsuit from Ugandan LGBT+ activists.
