Xena legend Lucy Lawless slams Hercules star Kevin Sorbo for peddling disturbing Capitol riot conspiracy

Xena star and lesbian icon Lucy Lawless didn’t hold back when former Hercules co-star Kevin Sorbo lied about Donald Trump’s Capitol riots being the work of Antifa.
Sorbo, who played the title role in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, from which Xena: Warrior Princess was spun, tweeted on Wednesday (6 January) that “Antifa led the charge into the Capitol building dressed as Trump supporters”.
In another post, he suggested a photo of notorious QAnon supporter Jake Angeli (who wore a fut hat with horns during the rampage) proved the conspiracy, retweeting a post flagged by Twitter as manipulated media.
“They don’t look like patriots to me,” Sorbo wrote, suggesting they were in fact “Leftist agitators”.

Not only were his words plainly untrue, with the white supremacist mob acting on Trump’s own instruction, they served to enable the type of domestic terrorism witnessed in Washington DC, according to Lucy Lawless.

the fact that Xena was originally meant be killed off on her 3rd episode in Hercules but instead got a spinoff which became more popular and more successful than the original series says a lot

Capitol riots cement Trump’s legacy as enemy of democracy and inciter of white supremacy.
The events of Wednesday, which saw a far-right mob of extremist Trump supporters and white supremacists launch an unprecedented assault on democracy, resulted in the deaths of five people and saw lawmakers rushed from Congress while attempting to certify the results of the November election.
In its aftermath, a global reckoning with Trump’s attacks on democracy is now taking place. World leaders have condemned the outgoing president, with even long-time ally Boris Johnson finally seeing fit to criticise his actions.
