X Factor winner Dalton Harris comes out as pansexual with defiant message to his haters

Dalton Harris, winner of the fifteenth season of The X Factor in 2018, has come out as pansexual.

The Jamaican singer opened up about his sexuality and the mental health issues he has faced in a series of tweets following a break-up.

“I had a deep realisation last night,” Harris, 26, wrote on Twitter on Thursday (October 15). “The only reason I didn’t take my life today is because I spoke with GOD and I decided to make the biggest change ai will ever make in my life.”

In a later tweet, he said he had ended a relationship that had taught him “so many things”.

“I want to experience [life] and be honest with myself and everyone around me in my intentions,” he added. “Not hide or mask feelings and or flaws. Not judge myself. Not abuse myself and or anyone else. I am thankful for my family and everyone who is around me.”

He later tweeted an image of the pansexual flag and hit out at those “attacking” his sexuality.

“My privacy is my business and whoever enters my bedroom will get there because of how I feel about them, any of the other physical checkpoints I should meet to make anyone accept me. My life is mine to live.”

X Factor winner Dalton Harris hit out at his critics as he came out as pansexual on social media.

The singer elaborated about his sexuality in an Instagram post where he said he did not care about people’s negative opinions.

“Privacy and honesty are different things and no one is entitled to ME. I will never ask for acceptance from anyone that struggles to accept me in the slightest bit. That is done and over with.

“To the boys with fragile egos, I am a TOP to you and your girlfriend. Or non-binary partner,” he added.

In a later post, Harris hit out people saying he was “weak like a girl”.

“Women aren’t weak. Nor am I. I am a man. Vulnerability is strength and not many ‘men’ possess it,” he wrote.

Writing on Twitter on Sunday (October 18), Harris said the word “pansexual” had been Googled a record number of times in Jamaica after his social media posts.

“I am overwhelmed by the love. For those that experience similar challenges and reached out. Hang in there. It all leads back to love.”
