‘Crazy’ Donald Trump savaged – yet again – by his lesbian niece Mary Trump after embarrassing town hall

Donald Trump’s questionable Twitter activity was compared to that of a “crazy uncle” during Thursday night’s (October 15) NBC town hall — and his niece Mary Trump couldn’t have agreed more.

Moderator Savannah Guthrie was hailed for keeping Trump in check throughout a frenetic interview as she pressed the president on his debts, his inaction on coronavirus, and his apparent endorsement of the dangerous rightwing conspiracy theory QAnon.

When Guthrie urged him to denounce QAnon and “just say it’s crazy and not true”, Trump responded: “I don’t know about QAnon.” She countered that just this week he retweeted a baseless QAnon claim that Joe Biden had had a navy Seal team killed.

“That was a retweet! People can decide for themselves!” Trump spluttered.

“I don’t get that. You’re the president, not someone’s crazy uncle who can just retweet whatever,” Guthrie shot back in a remark that became the defining moment of the 60-minute debate.

They were the words we have all wanted to scream at the so-called leader of the free world for the past four years. But they resonated with no one so strongly as the president’s own niece Mary Trump, who reminded that, for her at least, Guthrie’s remark wasn’t entirely true.

“Actually…” she replied in a single tweet that spoke volumes.

Mary Trump isn’t a fan of her ‘petty, pathetic’ uncle Donald.

Mary Trump eviscerated her uncle in a damning tell-all memoir Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man. The book was released earlier this year, despite the president’s best efforts to suppress it.

Her scathing takedown reveals Donald Trump to be “a petty, pathetic little man” raised in a world where “fraud was not just the family business — it was a way of life”.

She is currently suing him for fraud, claiming that her uncle and his siblings deliberately cheated her out of tens of millions of dollars in inheritance.

In a statement accompanying the lawsuit, Mary Trump said they “betrayed me… by telling lie after lie about the value of what I had inherited and by conning me into giving everything away for a fraction of its true value.”

The suit adds that the fraud “was particularly egregious and morally culpable because defendants deliberately targeted her because they disliked her“.

Donald Trump has not publicly responded to the lawsuit but has referred to his niece as being “unstable.”
