Azealia Banks suspended from Twitter after graphic transphobic rant against gender affirmation surgery

Azealia Banks has been suspended from Twitter – again – after going on a graphic transphobic rant about gender affirmation surgery.
On Tuesday (13 October), Azealia Banks took to Twitter to say she believes farmers should be prioritised for a stimulus package from Trump during the COVID-19 pandemic, but somehow managed to turn her point into a transphobic attack.
In one tweet, she wrote: “CANCEL ALL THESE DUMBA*S LUXURY TRANSGENDER HEALTHCARE ‘RIGHTS’ AND REDIRECT THE CASTRATION FUNDS TO THE LATINO FARMERS WORKING TO ACTUALLY FEED ANY OF US THROUGH THIS CRISIS.
She continued: “THEY DESERVE ACCESS TO THE TRUMP COVID TREATMENTS MORE THAN ANY OF YOU A*SHOLES *NEED* TO CHOP YOUR C**KS OFF AND GET BREAST IMPLANTS AND HORMONES. THIS IS BULLS**T.”

In another tweet, she claimed that gender affirmation surgery was the same as cosmetic surgery for cis women, and that trans people had body dysmorphia.
“WHO F**KING CARES,” she tweeted. “Your hoes wants free healthcare to pay for breast implants under the guise of body dysmorphia but a cis gender [sic] woman can’t make the argument that she’s uncomfortable with the size of her breasts/face and ALSO get free luxury plastic surgery procedures?”

She added: “Enough with the dumba*s they/them bulls**t… it’s ridiculous.
At the time of writing, her Twitter account is still suspended.

In May, 2016, the “212” singer was suspended from Twitter for hurling horrific racist and homophobic abuse at former One Direction member, Zayn Malik.
She called him a “curry scented b***h”, a “faggot”, a “d**k rider”, a “punjab” and a “paki”, and added: “Your mother is a dirty refugee who won’t be granted asylum.”
Banks has also called Perez Hilton a “faggot”, claimed that LGBT+ rights charity GLAAD were “media whores” with “no integrity”, before last year bidding “adieu” to her gay fans following a foul-mouthed rant about PrEP.
The rapper previously said she would not apologise for her homophobic rants, and on one occasion, when challenged on her views, she said: “Even if i am a homophobe… so wat? [sic] i still make more $ than u.”
