Kylie Minogue will release Disco, her new album, later in 2020, with its lead single “Say Something” arriving imminently.

The gay gods are preparing to descend to Earth once more as Kylie gears up to release her fifteenth studio album, Disco.

The Australian singer-songwriter and queen of our hearts revealed Tuesday (July 21) that her new album will be released on November 6.

Kylie’s Disco artwork has also been unveiled – and to say that we’re ready for the album would be an understatement.

But fans of the icon won’t have to wait until November to hear new music – “Say Something” will be released on Thursday (July 23) and will get its first play on BBC Radio 2.

Kylie: Disco released in November.

Kylie will be phoning in to chat to BBC Radio 2 presenter Zoe Ball about the new single and everything Disco following the record’s first spin.

“Are you waiting for me to SAY SOMETHING???” the legendary pop star tweeted yesterday, with a snippet of the song’s intro.

“My new album Disco is released November 6 and will be available to pre-order from Thursday morning.”

Details of Kylie’s new single were first reported yesterday (July 21) in The Sun, with an industry insider claiming the singer-songwriter wanted to “spread some joy”.

“‘Say Something’ is upbeat and summery,” the insider told the newspaper.

“It’s been a grim few months for everyone so Kylie feels like now is the perfect time to put it out and spread some joy.

The new record is set to be a disco classic.

“From what I’ve heard of it so far, the new record is set to be a disco classic,” they added.

“It’s everything you want from a Kylie album. Fans are going to love it.

“She has been working on her new music for a while now but everything has really come together in the last few months.”

Kylie Minogue’s new album for adults who ‘need some pure pop fun’.

Kylie previously told PA that she had set up a home recording studio in her living room so she could keep creating music during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It’s been a steep learning curve for all the team as there are technical obstacles to navigate but I’m so thankful to be able to continue work on my album in this way,” she said.

“I’ve been riding the emotional wave along with the rest of the world, but creativity has to be a bit help,” she said.

She previously told GQ that the new album will be drenched in “grown-up disco”.

“It’s difficult for me to explain,” she said, “but even grown-ups need some pure pop fun.”

She added: “There’s a lot of early 2000s love around at the moment.

“Both feel like good times for me, so I’m channelling that into this record.

“The songs that are pure escapism have even stronger purpose.”
