Anti-Islam thug Tommy Robinson just called out Little Mix – yes, Little Mix – for supporting Black Lives Matter

Little Mix and Tommy Robinson

Tommy Robinson, fresh from being released on bail following an assault arrest, has taken aim at Little Mix for supporting the Black Lives Matter cause.

Robinson, former leader of the anti-Islam English Defence League, uploaded an unhinged rant after a weekend of nationwide protests against racism.

During demonstrations in London – where police kettled peaceful protesters and charged horses at crowds — a statue of Winston Churchill was graffitied to read “Churchill was a racist”. In Bristol, a much-reviled statue of slave trader Edward Colston was toppled and thrown into a harbour.

Robinson was incensed enough by these actions to share a sweary and barely coherent video.

“What’s going on,” he screamed.

“What’s happening with this protest today… Anthony Joshua, you got anything to say about this s**t? You got anything to say about what they done to Churchill’s statue? You think he’s a racist as well do you?

“What about Little Mix? You were there weren’t you? You support the defacement of our Churchill statue do you?”

All four members of Little Mix have supported the Black Lives Matter movement in recent days. None played any party in graffitiing Churchill’s statue.

“Every one of you f**king celebrities all jumping on your little virtue signalling bandwagon,” Robinson continued.

“Every one of you wanting to show yourself with a little BLM sign while you’re defacing [incoherent]… every one who’s encouraged that supports that s**t.”

Little Mix have spent recent days rallying against racism and using their platform to affect change.

Leigh-Anne, who is mixed race, moved many by sharing her own experiences of racism throughout her career, and having to work 10 times harder than her bandmates as the “Black girl”. She was pictured attending protests in the capital, as were bandmates Jade Thirlwall and Jesy Nelson.

Like many of you, I have been feeling really heavy with everything that we are seeing online and hearing on the news. In the past I have mentioned some personal experiences that were triggered due to my race. More than ever I felt like it was time that I was completely open and honest with you all because finally, the world is awake and people want to listen, help and understand. I'm not doing this video for sympathy or for you to watch and then go about normal life. I'm doing it because enough is enough and hopefully from sharing this we can all do more to understand the racism that takes place. In doing this we are able to approach the bigger issue and break down systemic racism. All we want is equality and justice for our black community. ?

Meanwhile, Robinson was released on bail on Saturday (June 6) after being arrested on suspicion of assault.

The 37-year-old was arrested after allegedly punching a man he said spat in his face, while attending a protest purportedly against a “Muslim grooming gang” he claims to be investigating. Local police said last month that a year-long probe by officials did not corroborate the existence of any such group.

In his video Robinson also ranted about the 27 officers injured in this weekend’s protests, neglecting to mention the at least 20 officers injured in a “Free Tommy Robinson” protest held in June 2019, after he was jailed for contempt of court.
