Lady Gaga suddenly drops BLACKPINK Chromatica duet ‘Sour Candy’ and fans aren’t sour about it in the slightest

Lady Gaga and BLACKPINK

Lady Gaga, just hours before the long-awaited release of Chromatica, has only gone and pulled a Beyoncé by dropping her BLACKPINK duet “Sour Candy” completely unannounced.

Shh, do you hear that?

It’s the sound of countless Little Monsters and Blinks hysterically crying, cheering and waving goodbye to the void that was once their lives now that this song has given meaning to living once again.

“‘SOUR CANDY’ WITH BLACKPINK FROM CHROMATICA, OUT NOW,” Lady Gaga, who has clearly discovered the caps lock function, tweeted.

Her tweet, within minutes, immediately tallied more than 33,300 retweets and nearly 45,000 likes as everyone in the conceivable universe that has musical taste streamed the song.

Lady Gaga BLACKPINK Chromatica collaboration ‘Sour Candy’ unexpectedly drops and fans can’t get enough.

Understandably, stunned fans jumped at the opportunity to hear the American star and South Korean girl group sing together, considering purported leaks of the song already sent them into a frenzy earlier today.

One fan even made an unofficial lyric video for ‘Sour Candy’.

Lady Gaga talks BLACKPINK and ‘Sour Candy’.

On Chromatica Eve, Lady Gaga revealed how the historic collaboration came about and called herself the “fifth member” of the K-Pop girl group.

“I called BLACKPINK first to suggest working together,” she told Japanese outlet tvgroove.

“The BLACKPINK members were happy and showed enthusiasm for the project, so we were able to collaborate thanks to that. I wanted to support powerful women such as BLACKPINK, and they felt the same.”

Lady Gaga teased that “Sour Candy” will feature Korean lyrics.

“I got excited while hearing them interpret the song in Korean,” she said.

“I told them that their part is very creative and fun.

“BLACKPINK are beautiful young women, and they’re very talented. Through this collaboration, I felt proud as if I’d become BLACKPINK’s fifth member.”

Who else has Lady Gaga collaborated with for Chromatica?

“Sour Candy” is one of three collaborations between Gaga and fellow God-tier musicians.

Little Monsters. Arianators. Blinks. Elton John stans. Long ago, the four stan nations lived together in harmony.

But only Lady Gaga, master of all four musical elements, could unite them all, but when the world needed her the most, she vanished.

Four years passed, and Lady Gaga finally returned, bringing Chromatica and harmony to the world once again.

And we believe Lady Gaga can save the pop music world with her duets with Ariana Grande, Elton John and, you guessed it, BLACKPINK.

Gaga and Grande dropped their duet, “Rain On Me”, to immediate acclaim last week (May 22).

Leaving just her song with John – whom she described as a “mentor” to her – to drop Friday with the rest of her sixth-studio album.
