Tiger King star Joe Exotic told a courtroom that he was busy filming porn when challenged over his whereabouts during a key moment in his case, one of the jurors who found him guilty has said.

The former Oklahoma zoo keeper is currently serving out a 22-year sentence in federal prison for a murder-for-hire plot, eight counts of falsifying wildlife records and nine counts of violating the Endangered Species Act for animal abuse.

Joe Exotic told courtroom he was busy filming porn during key moment.

Kristin, one of the jurors who sat on the 2019 trial, spoke to Fox Nation about one particularly memorable moment in court – when Exotic had been asked about his whereabouts at the time he received a suspicious phone call relating to the murder-for-hire plot.

The juror said: “I think he said he was in Oklahoma City or Edmond or something and so he headed back to the zoo, but they stopped at a motel on the way and filmed a softcore porn [film].

“[Joe’s lawyer] said ‘OK, that’s enough.'”

Kristin also revealed that some of her fellow jurors had been in tears when the guilty verdict was handed down.

She added: “We had a few jurors that were crying when we went back into the courtroom. I think they just felt bad.”

However, one person who does not feel bad for Exotic is former keeper Saff – who told the programme that Exotic would kill animals for financial reasons.

Saff said: “A ‘monster’ is a relative term. And Joe fits the bill. It never phased him.”

Tiger King star gave ‘dirt’ on other exotic animal keepers to PETA.

The new show also revealed that Exotic had passed “dirt” on other people within the exotic animal trade to animal rights activists prior to his imprisonment.

Brittany Peet, an attorney for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, said: “He wanted to try to ally himself with us.

“He even suggested that he might someday be a spokesperson for PETA speaking out against the cub petting industry and the roadside zoo industry.

“And he offered to share with me dirt that he had about others in the captive wildlife industry. And he did.”
