Kesha, Adam Lambert, Melissa Etheridge, Mj Rodriguez and many more LGBT+ icons will perform in a live-streamed concert this month to celebrate the LGBT+ response to coronavirus and raise money for queer community centres.

GLAAD’s Together in Pride: You Are Not Alone will take place on April 26, featuring performances, interviews and video messages from queer celebrities on the organisation’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.

Billy Eichner, Matt Bomer, Lilly Singh, Bebe Rexha, Dan Levy, Wilson Cruz, Kathy Griffin and Gigi Gorgeous are among the special guests to be confirmed.

Also taking part are Nats Getty, Michelle Visage, Javier Muñoz, Sean Hayes, Sharon Stone and Tatiana Maslany, with even more yet to be announced.

The event aims to send a message of affirmation, positivity and acceptance to the LGBT+ community and those who are HIV-positive, who are being disproportionately affected during the coronavirus pandemic.

GLAAD Together in Pride will send LGBT+ community a message of support.

GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis said: “At a time when some LGBTQ people could be isolating in homes that are not affirming, GLAAD is bringing together the biggest LGBTQ stars and allies to send messages of love, support and acceptance.

“So many LGBTQ people, especially our youth, depend on support from local community centres around the country, and during this time of financial distress, we must come together as a community to ensure that all LGBTQ organisations can continue their life-saving work.”

Together in Pride: You are Not Alone will raise money for CenterLink, a network of more than 250 queer community centres in 45 US states, Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, Canada, China, Mexico and Australia.

Denise Spivak, the interim CEO of CenterLink, added: “LGBTQ centers are the heart of the community, and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic these centres have continued to provide vital connectivity and services, pivoting to virtual programming, modifying in-person services when possible, and ensuring that their communities have resources and support when they need it the most.”

Lambert and Kesha are also performing at Lady Gaga’s COVID-19 benefit concert One World: Together At Home.
