Christian blogger doesn’t wash her hands, claims trans people and abortion are worse than coronavirus

Coronavirus

A Christian ‘mommy blogger’ is urging her followers not to fear the coronavirus because trans people and abortion are “much more destructive” to our culture.

Lori Alexander is the writer behind The Transformed Wife, a blog teaching women “to be sober, love and obey their husbands, love their children, be chaste, discreet, good, and keepers at home”.

In a recent post she admitted she’s “not a hand washer” as she’s not afraid of germs, and used the pandemic to proselytise against what she believes to be the evils of the world.

“It is a scary time for many but should we, as believers in Jesus Christ, give in to the fear?” she asks. The answer is no, according to Alexander, because she believes that “maybe God will use this virus for good”.

“Many of the things going on in our culture (abortion, children being allowed to change genders, pornography, sex trafficking of children, and so on) are must [sic] more destructive to our culture than this virus or the stock market crashing,” she wrote.

“Maybe God will use this virus for good. Our culture needs a good wake up call. The prospect of illness and/or death is where the rubber meets the road and has the ability to wake people up from their slumber.”

She comfortingly added that “we’re all going to die someday”, and suggested that the coronavirus might encourage people to “examine their lives more closely”.

With no medical experience whatsoever, Alexander continued to dangerously downplay the epidemic by telling mothers they can “rest assured” because the virus only seems to be killing the elderly and those with health problems.

Even though she includes herself in this latter category, she’s not concerned because she’s using doses of elderberry syrup to boost her immune system. “It really does work!” she claims.

To those who are actually taking this global pandemic seriously, she says: “Remember, this virus is NOTHING close to being like the Bubonic plague or polio, yet many are acting as if it were.”

Her only concession to the state of emergency the US now finds itself in is that she will “try” not to touch her face and to wash her hands after going shopping.

“I do what I can and leave the rest in the Lord’s hands,” she says confidently.
