Queer Eye season 6

Netflix series Queer Eye has been renewed for a sixth season and filming is already underway, as revealed by the Fab Five on Instagram.

The heartfelt hit series, where the five men give whole life-makeovers to participants, has been a huge success among LGBT+ audiences since it debuted in 2018.

The cast confirmed the news in an Instagram post, which featured a photo of them in Texas standing in front of a sign that reads: “Queer Eye, the most fabulous thing in Texas since chaps.”

Queer Eye has been renewed for a sixth season, and the Fab Five will be visiting Texas.

The photo was captioned: “Grab a Texas-sized box of tissues y’all because the Fab Five just arrived in the Lone Star State to film Queer Eye season six! ??(oh and P.S. Queer Eye season five is coming real soon).”

The crew started production on the sixth season of the series in Austin, Texas this week. The fifth season of the show, where the Fab Five went to Philadelphia, has been filmed but has not yet been released. Reports suggest that the fifth season will hit Netflix this summer.

Fans reacted with unbridled joy to the news.

The Fab Five is made up of Jonathan Van Ness, Tan France, Bobby Berk, Antoni Porowski and Karamo Brown.

The hit LGBT+ themed series has won a cult following and critical acclaim since it debuted in 2018.

Van Ness is the group’s grooming expert, France looks after Fashion, Berk does interior design, Porowski covers food and wine and Brown is the show’s culture expert.

The hit Netflix series is a reboot of the early 00s Bravo show Queer Eye For the Straight Guy. It immediately gained a cult following when the first season hit Netflix in 2018 and has won critical acclaim for drawing attention to LGBT+ issues and for telling lesser-told stories.

The news that the show has been renewed for a sixth season comes shortly after the Fab Five travelled to Japan for a shortened special season called: Queer Eye: We’re in Japan!
