Dwyane Wade gushes with pride after trans daughter Zaya re-introduces herself to the world

In an antidote to the terrors of living in the year 2020, Dwyane Wade took to Instagram Sunday to nominate himself as president of the ‘We Stan Zaya Wade Society’.
Posting photo after photo of his family, Wade set the standard of how parents of trans children can express their love and affection. It comes after Zaya made her red carpet debut with Wade, 38, and Gabrielle Union, 47, last weekend – donning fierce, customised multi-panelled Richfresh suits and looking like a walking Vogue magazine cover.
The love and pride Wade feels for his 12-year-old daughter radiated across Twitter Sunday morning, with countless trans and non-binary folk praising the parent for his indelible support to not only his child, but for the entire trans community.

“My heart is full,” sone user wrote, “the celebration of Zaya by her parents, God.
“So many of us trans folks – even with pretty supportive families – don’t have that.
“Being celebrated, not grieved, not merely accepting, but having parents who actually share in our joy and excitement.”

Footage showed the family waking up in the morning to scrambled eggs and Zaya playing video games, doing eye masks and unwrapping gifts sent from friends.
Wade shared supportive comments from loved ones and also dropped two Instagram posts essentially gushing over his daughter.
“Last night was a dope experience for our family,” the former NBA player wrote Sunday, before thanking awards organisers for recognising the work of queer folk of colour at the Truth Awards.
In another post, he wrote: “Everyone allow her to re-introduce herself her name is Zaya Wade!
“Last night was Zaya’s first red carpet and we couldn’t have been prouder of how she handled the questions that were asked of her.
She has emerged as one of the young faces and voices for the LGBTQ+ community.

Union posted an adorable boomerang video of the family strutting down the poolside of their home, writing: “We keep moving forward.
“We keep leading with love, light and for a better more inclusive world.
“Stay put and mad if you want. We keep pushing, always.”
The tailors behind the family’s two-toned suits also took to Instagram Sunday to not only thank the family for opting to wear their designs, but for making the brand part of history.
“You guys really showed me what family support looks like,” the Richfresh’s founder wrote, “I needed that.
They continued: “Glad to be a part of such a big moment for D, Gabby, and Zaya.
“And yo, Zaya is a force to be reckoned with. She’s the s**t, and at present, this is her fave outfit, cuz she got taste ?.”
