Donald Trump is really into Pete Buttigieg ‘choking’ people

Donald Trump choking himself

Donald Trump seems to have developed a fixation with Democrats choking one another.

Trump told supporters at a Colorado Springs rally that his favourite part of Wednesday’s (February 19) NBC News Democratic debate was Pete Buttigieg “choking” Amy Klobuchar.

“How about Klobuchar, did you see her?” he asked, before putting his hands around his own throat.

“She choked, she choked. She couldn’t breath.”

Using his pet name for Buttigieg, Trump explained that Klobuchar choked after “Alfred E. Neuman looked at her and [said] something slightly derogatory”.

“And she said: ‘Are you accusing me of being dumb?’

“Who would make a statement like that? That was the end of her campaign in my book.”

We wonder if he’s come across Buttigieg’s “daddy” beard yet?

Pete Buttigieg ‘choked’ Amy Klobuchar with Mexico jibe.

Trump was referring to the moment Buttigieg took aim at Klobuchar for forgetting the name of Mexico’s president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, in an interview earlier in the week.

The slip meant that Klobuchar was not “able to speak to literally the first thing about the politics of the country to our south”, according to the former South Bend, Indiana mayor.

“Are you trying to say that I’m dumb?” Klobuchar hit back.

“Or are you mocking me here, Pete? I said I made an error. People sometimes forget names.”

The two centrists, both mid-westerners, clashed a number of times during the debate, with Klobuchar attacking Buttigieg for his lack of Washington experience.

As she argued that she has been “in the arena”, Buttigieg replied by saying he was “used to senators telling mayors that senators are more important than mayors”.

“You don’t have to be in Washington to matter,” he added.

Elizabeth Warren didn’t come to play.

Despite both candidates trying their hardest to get the upper hand, the debate was dominated by Elizabeth Warren, who came prepared with choice words for every single candidate.

For many, the highlight of the night was her epic read of billionaire former New York mayor Mike Bloomberg.

In her opening Salvo, Warren told the audience: “I’d like to talk about who we’re running against.

“A billionaire who calls women ‘fat broads’ and ‘horse-faced lesbians’. And no, I’m not talking about Donald Trump. I’m talking about mayor Bloomberg.”
