Red alert! Stop the presses! Gird your loins! Britney Spears has been hospitalised for a broken foot following a dancing injury, her boyfriend Sam Asghari has said.

In a heart-warming Instagram post, the personal trainer revealed that the “Toxic” singer was being treated by medical staff after she broke a metatarsal bone in her foot.

Her boyfriend, who may be the most beautiful man in existence, adorably posed in a selfie together posted Tuesday, showing Spears with a head thermometer wearing a hospital gown in an emergency room.

He described how he wishes her well so “she can jump, run and dance her butt off” once again.

Britney Spears previously spotted wearing medical boot.

“When you break something it tends to heal stronger, specially when you’re my girl,” he said.

“My lioness broke her metatarsal bone on her foot doing what she loves which is dancing.”

Asghari also shared snaps of Spears’ foot cast, which he signed “Stronger”, the name of one of her earliest hits, on with green and blue board markers.

Spears, 38, then can be heard saying “I love you, baby” in the video.

The post comes after the singer was spotted wearing a medical boot last week while on her way to a tanning salon in Los Angeles, US, according to the Daily Mail.

But no explanation was provided at the time, indicating that the injury may have occurred last week.

Asghari and Spears have been dating since 2016 after meeting on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video. The 26-year-old was cast in the video to play her brooding male lead that Spears hand-picked herself.

He hinted in 2019 that marriage may be on the cards for the pair as, to Asghari, that’s the “whole point” of a relationship.

“[Marriage] is something that every couple should do,” the dancer told Entertainment Tonight.

“Trust me, if we ever do get married, everybody’s going to know.”
