Wendy Williams is under fire for insensitive comments again, just days after issuing an apology for a rant about gay men.
The host faced a backlash after making light of the death of sex and relationship therapist Amie Harwick, who died after falling from a third-story balcony at her Hollywood home on Saturday.
Harwick’s ex-boyfriend Gareth Pursehouse has been charged with murder over the death.
Responding on The Wendy Williams Show on Tuesday, Williams opted to reference the therapist’s relationship with Price is Right host Drew Carey – and shout the TV show’s famous catch phrase.
She said: “Drew Carey’s ex-fiancée was tragically murdered over the weekend. She was killed. Not by Drew… come on down!”

Williams has since come under fire for the “cruel” and “tasteless” joke.
One Twitter user wrote: “Why does Wendy Williams still have a show after her disgusting comments yesterday? Mocking someone who was murdered in a domestic violence incident..?”

Musician Nita Strauss added: “Hey @WendyWilliams – CLASSLESS MOVE making a joke about a domestic violence victim.
“Amie Harwick, an amazing woman and champion for mental health awareness was senselessly killed and you used it as an opportunity for a one liner. HOW F**KING DARE YOU.”

Others noted that the controversy comes just days after Williams offended both gay men and trans women by suggesting skirts and heels were only for people who menstruate.
One Twitter user wrote: “So far in 2020 and bearing in mind its only February, Wendy Williams has joked about Joaquin Pheonix’ cleft lip, told gay men to stop wearing our dresses and now has joked about Drew Careys ex Amie Hardwick dying by falling off a balcony… disgraceful!”

Williams had declared during a ‘Galentine’s Day’ segment last Thursday: “I don’t care if you’re gay. You don’t get a mensie every 28 days. You can do a lot that we do, but I get offended by the idea that we go through something you will never go through.
“Stop wearing our skirts and our heels. Just sayin’, girls, what do we have for ourselves? Look here now, gay men, you’ll never be the woman that we are, no matter how gay!”
She later issued an apology, saying: “I’m very pernickety about how I do my show, and one thing can tell you right now is that I never do the show in a place of malice.
“I understand my platform with the community. I didn’t mean to hurt anybody’s feelings, I’m just having a conversation. If you know me long enough then you know.”
