Christian preacher says Pete Buttigieg is ‘deserving of death’ for being gay

Rush Limbaugh claims Pete Buttigieg kissing his husband is a problem

A leading Christian website has published a piece in which the writer says gay presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg is “deserving of death” for his homosexuality.

Bert Farias wrote the piece for Charisma News, a website associated with popular Christian magazine Charisma.

In his column, the author and preacher said that Buttigieg, who is currently vying for the Democrat nomination, is bringing the “death rattle of a nation” with his homosexuality.

“The constant compromising of preachers to avoid controversy is creating much damage—not only to the world, which is looking for a clear sound from preachers, but also to believers who have little discernment or are growing tired of ambiguity,” Farias wrote.

“For example, one very influential and popular minister who has millions of followers was asked if homosexuality was wrong, and his general response was that his views were evolving. Evolving? That’s like saying the Bible is evolving. How pathetic of an answer.

“In fact, when those who practice such things that are ‘deserving of death’ also approve of others who practice them (Rom. 1:32), it is one of God’s final signs of His wrath on a society.

“This is a description of gay activism and constantly pushing for its normalcy and marginalising those who disapprove. This is present-day America. How far we’ve fallen.”

Farias went on to claim that the shock factor of seeing two men kiss has been so reduced so much that “the rest of us are numb and desensitised to this most shameful and abominable behaviour.”

He added that it was “hypocritical” to attack Donald Trump for the accusations he faces of sexual harassment and assault if you don’t also question Buttigieg’s “abominable lifestyle”.

“Buttigieg and others of his kind will do everything in his power to normalize homosexual relationships even more in the eyes of America,” Farias said.

Pete Buttigieg also attacked by Rush Limbaugh.

Buttigieg was also attacked this week by anti-LGBT+ radio host Rush Limbaugh.

Limbaugh, who was recently awarded the Medal of Freedom by Donald Trump, said Buttigieg kissing his husband, Chasten, causes “problems” for parents.

“So I saw a political ad, where Mayor Pete, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, going on and on and on and on and on, about how parents in America are struggling to explain president Trump to their children,” Limbaugh said, according to Media Matters.

He then held up a photo of Buttigieg kissing his husband Chasten, and said: “You think — natural conclusion — so he says Trump causes problems for parents, what about that?”

The comments came just a week after Trump awarded Limbaugh the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Limbaugh has a long, long list of anti-LGBT+ beliefs, claiming in 2013 that gay weddings would help to normalise paedophilia.

Unsurprisingly, Trump remains unbothered by the radio host’s long history of anti-LGBT+ comments.
