Rush Limbaugh can’t stop talking about Pete Buttigieg kissing his husband

Chasten Glezman Buttigieg kisses his husband, South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg, after he delivered a keynote address at the Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) 14th annual Las Vegas Gala at Caesars Palace on May 11, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Rush Limbaugh has continued his bizarre fascination with Pete Buttigieg’s sexuality, making repeated references to the scandalous fact that he “loves to kiss his husband”.

The anti-LGBT+ right-wing pundit brought up the kiss at least five times on his radio show yesterday as he listed the faults of each of the presidential contenders.

The 69-year old recipient of Trump’s Presidential Medal of Freedom (yes, really) just couldn’t get past the fact that a gay man would dare show affection towards his husband in public.

“OK, how’s this going to look, 37-year-old gay guy kissing his husband on stage next to Mr Man Donald Trump,” he asked. “What’s going to happen there?”

Referring to Buttigieg as “booty judge,” he warned that the “grand poobahs in the Democrat Party” are saying that “despite all the great progress and despite all the great wokeness… America’s still not ready to elect a gay guy kissing his husband on the debate stage president.”

He continued: “There may be some Democrats who think that’s exactly what we need to do, Rush. Get a gay guy kissing his husband on stage, ram it down Trump’s throat, and beat him in the general election. Really. Have fun envisioning that.”

Judging by the frequency of his comments, it seems that Limbaugh himself is having fun envisioning it.

Earlier this week he criticised Buttigieg for kissing his husband “frequently”, complaining that it will cause “problems” for parents who feel they are unable to explain it to their children.

“So I saw a political ad, where Mayor Pete, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, going on and on and on and on and on, about how parents in America are struggling to explain president Trump to their children,” Limbaugh said.

He then held up a photo of Buttigieg kissing his husband Chasten, and said: “You think — natural conclusion — so he says Trump causes problems for parents, what about that?”
