Sony is reportedly developing a new Spider-Man/Spider-Verse film that would unite Tom Holland with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield with a bisexual twist.
A source told We Got This Covered that the project, which is in early development stages, would see Holland team up with former Spider-Men Maguire and Garfield. The source claimed that Sony particularly wants to get Garfield in on the action so he can play a bisexual Spider-Man.
In a move that would see Sony giving queer people everything they want, Garfield’s Spider-Man will also have a boyfriend, the source claims.

While the claims are just rumours, Holland and Garfield would likely get behind the project – both have called for a more sexually diverse Spider-Man in the past.
Current Spider-Man actor Tom Holland, who has stolen the hearts of countless queer people, told the Sunday Times Culture Magazine last year that Marvel superheroes needn’t always be “a straight white guy”.
When asked if there could ever be a gay Spider-Man, Holland replied: “Yeah, of course.”

When asked how soon, he said that the future of the character isn’t his to decide.
“But I do know a lot about the future of Marvel, and they are going to be representing lots of different people in the next few years,” he elaborated.
He also said last year that he hopes there will be a gay Spider-Man “one day”.
Garfield has said he would like to see a bisexual or pansexual version of Spider-Man.
Meanwhile, Garfield called on producers to make Spider-Man pansexual in 2015.
“I’m excited to get to the point where we don’t have to have this conversation,” he said, “where we can have a pansexual Spider-Man.”
“The richness of the world we’re in, the diversity of the world we’re in; you look at the animal kingdom and you see it reflected,” he told Mic.
“You look all over,” he continued. “What are we so scared of? Why are we so, ‘No, it has to be this way, a man and a woman.’ Why is that even a conversation?”
