Jenifer Lewis giving a guided tour of a wig collection is the dictionary definition of iconic
This is a public service announcement to casually remind you that you are truly blessed to live in the same timeline as Jenifer Lewis.
The Sister Act star stormed Hollywood in the early 1990s, scoring an enviable IMDb page and a reputation for her wit and rawness.
And if you honestly need the receipts to back this up, a clip of Lewis from sitcom Black-ish has gone viral showing her character giving a tour of her wig collection.
From the looks of Twitter, everyone’s reaction has been all the breath in the body leaving in an accordion wheeze.
Jenifer Lewis shows off her wig collection in Black-ish.
Viewed more than 23,600 times, the Hulu show sees Ruby Johnson provide her secret to looking “so fresh, so young, so hip”.
“But today, I’m happy to let you in on… the secret.
“Welcome! To my wig,” the RuPaul’s Drag Race guest judge gloriously announces, revealing her radiating sparkly gown, which, of course, says gay rights.
The camera glides to show off her plush shelf and, you guessed it, wigs.

There’s Latavia, a “workhorse, perfect for a cup of coffee”.
“Danita, my getaway wig,” she says, before caressing the mannequin head and adding: “She holds on tight.”
“Kelly, now, I don’t wear her often but when I do, it’s typically to court or a white person’s funeral.
“And I call this one Stella,” she says, before cackling in cadence, “because she helps me get my groove all the way back.”
As the clip was destined to do, LGBT+ users revelled in its energy.
