Conspiracy theorists think Pete Buttigieg is a spy for the CIA because of his ‘hypnotic blue eyes’

Pete Buttigieg is attracting conspiracy theorists

Conspiracy theorists have decided that Pete Buttigieg is a CIA spy because he has “mesmerising, hypnotic blue eyes”.

The spotlight of suspicion has fallen on Buttigieg from far-left conspiracists over his time in the military, ability to speak multiple languages, and work for consulting firm McKinsey.

YouTube conspiracy theorist Steve Poikonen pointed to the candidate’s well-spoken Midwestern charm and “hypnotic blue eyes” as evidence he is actually a CIA agent.

Conspiracy theorists are having a field day over Pete Buttigieg.

Steve Poikonen told The Daily Beast: “He’s one of the many intelligence community operators working in government.

“Put together, a picture forms of an elite-educated, multi-language-speaking employee of the CIA’s consulting firm who currently serves as an intelligence officer in the naval reserves.

“If you created a CIA asset in a lab, you’d wind up with Pete Buttigieg.”

The outlet notes that even more mainstream pundits have bought into the claims around Buttigieg.

The Grayzone writer Samuel D Finkelstein lamented: “It’s like he was grown in a laboratory for the purposes of the perpetuation of empire.

“Obviously, there’s no evidence solidly that we can point to say, ‘Oh yeah, Mayor Pete is an asset of the CIA.’

“That’s not a claim that I would make publicly. But that said, if the CIA were to have a presidential candidate, it would look a lot like Mayor Pete.”

Buttigieg has previously publicly denied that he was in the CIA in an interview with The Atlantic.

Strangely, the CIA aren’t rigging the election very well.

It’s unclear why, if Pete Buttigieg has the full force of the entire intelligence community behind him, he is trailing Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders in the race.

Buttigieg recently spoke about the impact his campaign has had on older LGBT+ people.

In an interview with the New York Times, the Democrat spoke about the impact his campaign has had on people who might not have ever imagined an out-and-proud mainstream presidential candidate becoming a reality in the lifetimes.

He said: “You have older folks who, and it’s not unusual — I would say every rope line, well maybe not every rope line, but often, somebody comes up to me, looks at me, starts to try to say something and can’t.

“They’re usually in their 50s or older, and I know exactly what they’re saying and that’s all it takes. And that is extraordinary.”

Buttigieg said he also hears from plenty of young people “letting me know that I’m helping them in some way just by doing this”.
