Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart kissed each-other on the red carpet for Star Trek: Picard and the power of their loving friendship has restored our strength.

The famously best pals greeted one another with a kiss as they arrived at the screening at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London.

Dozens of cameras clicked to capture the tender moment between friends, and McKellen made it even more memorable by getting down on one knee and jokingly proposing.

Ian McKellen popped the question to Patrick Stewart.

Patrick first pecked his pal on the check before going in for a full-on kiss.

Stewart said “yes”, of course – who wouldn’t? – as McKellen put in an animated display, tenderly holding his hands and chatting to one another.

The 79-year-old Logan actor was joined by wife Sunny Ozell, 41, at the premier. McKellen, 80, officiated their marriage in 2013.

Later that night, Stewart took to Twitter to post an adorable snap of the pair.

This isn’t the first time the X-Men stars shared a smooch at a film premiere.

At the 2015 screening of Mr Holmes, which featured the veteran actor and LGBT+ rights campaigner as an elderly Sherlock Holmes, the duo kissed.

Sending the assembled media into a frenzy.
