Lizzo, the only light in this dark world, is volunteering at an Australian food bank amid catastrophic bushfires

Lizzo has, once again, proven that she is the only relief from the incomprehensible horror of the world by taking the time to volunteer at an Australian food bank.
For four strained months, calamitous bushfires have laid havoc on the continent, claiming 25 lives and pushing countless species on the brink of extinction.
Earlier this week, the ‘Juice’ rapper lent a helping hand to Foodbank Victoria, a non-profit organisation that provides food relief for Australian citizens. Her voluntary work came just after she “quit Twitter”, citing “too many trolls” on the website.
Lizzo packs hampers to help displaced Australians and she must be protected at all costs.
“We had the one and only Lizzo helping us sort and pack hampers in the warehouse today,” the organisation wrote on its Facebook page.
“If you’d like to join Lizzo in supporting the bushfire crisis, you can click the link below to donate.”
Rocking an orange fluorescent vest, Lizzo, 31, was snapped posing with another volunteer by the organisation, taking the time out of her touring schedule to visit the Melbourne-based bank.
While many celebrities are using their packed pockets to make donations to relief funds, Lizzo, of course, took it one step further by helping volunteers on the ground.
We truly do not deserve her.
Hampers were packed by the star, filled with food and water, which go towards helping those displaced by the disastrous flames.
Lizzo herself was low-key about her work, with no mention of it across any of her still active socials. But an outpouring of praise was opened after a fellow volunteer mentioned her handiwork.

Lizzo dubs catastrophic bushfires a ‘global crisis’.
Earlier that same week, Lizzo set up donation buckets around the Sydney Opera House venue at her concert. A cause she amplified agains during the concert, calling on fans to tell her how she could help.
Cuddling a koala plushie, the ‘Truth Hurts’ singer discussed the raging bushfires on her Instagram stories, calling the fires for what they are, a “global crisis”. Such a description comes amid accusations that Australia’s leaders are proving lethargic in their response to tackle the flames, with premier Scott Morrison rebuffing for months calling the bushfire crisis a national emergency.
“Being over here in Australia has really given me a real-time view into what’s happening with these devastating fires,” Lizzo said.
“And for all of my followers who are mostly American I just want to say that this is a global crisis.
“I don’t want to politicise anything, this isn’t a political issue at this point, this is a human issue.”
What is causing the Australian bushfires?
Once lush green lawns and white picket fences reduced to ash, skies coloured red, wildlife threatened to near extinction, countless people evacuated from their homes.
Fire season has always seen the Australian bush burn. But as temperatures crawl upwards due to climate catastrophe, as well as three years of droughts, this season has been been one of the most deadly ever observed.

Searing heat and winds have propelled fires across large swathes of the country.
And with arid conditions on the horizon, experts say the fires will only be ignited, while others note that such fires will become more frequent and even more intense.
