Michelle Visage wants a role on EastEnders as Kat Slater’s American cousin

Michelle Visage has revealed that she desperately wants to star on BBC soap Eastenders as Kat Slater’s American cousin.

Speaking at Samsung KX’s Thread Talks, Visage was asked about the famous show, and told that many people would love to see her star as Slater’s cousin.

Visage expressed her “love” for Jessie Wallace, who plays Kat Slater on Eastenders.

She then confessed that she would love to appear on the show, saying: “It would be amazing and hilarious and I think people would eat that up.”

Visage has previously opened up about how badly she wants to play Slater’s American cousin on the show.

Michelle Visage also revealed why she won’t be appearing on the Strictly tour.

Elsewhere in the interview, Visage revealed why she will not be part of the upcoming Strictly Come Dancing tour.

When a member of the audience asked what had happened to prevent her taking part, she replied: “Oh, you’re trying to get the tea, aren’t you?”

It would be amazing and hilarious and I think people would eat that up.

“I’ll tell you what happened, it’s not that racy or scandalous but what happened was they and asked in the beginning for my availability – this is the honest to God transparent truth – I said yes but I have RuPaul’s Drag Con, is there any way I could miss the matinees and I would drive or take a train wherever to get there for the night shows.

“They were like, you have to do all of them, and I was like, OK do you want me to see if I can move it? And they said yes. So I moved it, I got out of it because at one point I was going to do the tour and not Drag Con and at that point they were like ‘Oh I’m sorry, we’re going to pass.’

“So I cleared my schedule and they passed on me so that’s what happened.”

She was eliminated from the show just weeks ago after performing to Madonna’s ‘Vogue’.

Just weeks ago, Visage was eliminated from this year’s Strictly Come Dancing after she performed her “couple’s choice” dance to Madonna’s ‘Vogue.’

She dedicated the routine to the LGBT+ community, later taking to Instagram to explain how proud she was “to bring a part of the underground gay ballroom scene to a massive show like Strictly“.

“I’ve learned in this life you must take big risks in order to affect change,” she wrote.

The Drag Race judge explained that voguing on Strictly wasn’t about winning high scores, but was “about shedding light on a group of people who deserve recognition and would otherwise not get it”.

“I owe my life to the LGBTQIA+ community so as an ally, I try to bring attention to them, their love, their struggles, in any way the I am able to,” she wrote.
