Elton John lashes out at security in NSFW rant after fan is ‘manhandled’ at concert

Elton John has angrily hit out at security staff working at one of his Australian shows after they tried to remove a woman from the venue.

John was performing at Perth’s HBF Park stadium last night (December 1) when he saw a woman in the audience being escorted from the premises.

“Hey, you two security guards with the girl, f**k off,” John can be heard saying in video footage shared on social media.

“Let her get up here immediately… come on you c***s.

Elton John: ‘You don’t treat girls like that.’

“Morons, both of you, morons. You don’t treat girls like that,” he continued. “Leave her alone you turds.”

Today Perth presenter Louise Momber was at the concert and said John was “so angry”, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.

“He said he can’t stand violence against women and had to say something.

Hey, you two security guards with the girl, f**k off.

“He sang the next song and then immediately apologised for his rant – but said it’s something he’s really passionate about.

“It was certainly a side of Sir Elton I’d never seen before.

“One of the biggest music stars in the world – and he took on Perth security guards.”

This is not the first time the singer has gotten miffed while performing.

A spokeswoman for VenuesWest told the Sydney Morning Herald that the woman was removed during the concert – and said staff asked her to leave with the approval of John’s security representative.

“Under the circumstances, the security team acted appropriately and we (VenuesWest and security) worked together with Elton’s team to ensure that the event was safe and successful for the artist and the patrons,” she said.

This is not the first time the ‘Rocketman’ singer has gotten miffed while performing. Last year, he brought a fan onstage in Las Vegas – but when they started repeatedly tapping him on the shoulder during his performance, he told them to “f**k off” before walking off stage.

John is currently on a lengthy global farewell tour, after which he plans to retire from performing.

The singer – who also recently released an autobiography called Me – has faced a mixed reaction online from fans. Many praised him for standing up for the fan, but others thought it looked too much like a stunt.
