Madonna wants you to get ready for a Madame X-Lil Nas X crossover.

Lil Nas X was in the audience for the iconoclast’s Madame X concert in LA when she walked over and made a beeline for his beer.

“That looks so thirst-quenching, may I have a sip,” she asked, before grabbing the bottle.

“Have you had anything to drink from it,” she asked, and was told yes.

“So if I drink this I’ll be getting some of your backwash? Yummy. It’s kinda sharp, your backwash.”

The six-time Grammy-nominated rapper said that he was just happy to be “in the presence of a legend”.

After telling her about his hometown, Atlanta, Georgia (Madonna has been “like three billion times”), talk naturally turned to horse-riding.

I’ll teach you how to ride a horse baby.

Confirming that he rides “every now and then”, Lil Nas X won himself an invite to Madonna’s horse farm in New York.

“I’ll teach you how to ride a horse baby,” she said, before breaking into the chorus of his record-breaking hit, ‘Old Town Road’.

“I expect you to show up to my horse farm,” she said afterwards.

“I’m going to show you what to do with a horse for real, and then we can make a song about chickens, because I’ve got chickens, too.”

Madonna shared the exchange on Instagram, writing that “Madame X is happy to share her last name with Lil Nas X”.

In response, the rapper wrote: “I love you Madonna.”

Lil Nas X was one of just under 2,000 people who attended Madonna’s intimate performance earlier this week.

The pop legend is staging a series of theatre residencies in support of her latest album, also named Madame X, a stark contrast to her usual large-scale arena tours.

So far, the up-close-and-personal approach has won rave reviews, though the singer has been criticised for starting the show up to two hours late.

One disgruntled fan went so far as to file a lawsuit against Madonna for her tardiness, after he was refused a refund for three tickets purchased for $1,024.95.
