A surprise appearance by Drake at Tyler, The Creator’s festival this weekend was cut short by fans frustrated that the mystery guest wasn’t queer artist Frank Ocean.

The Canadian rapper proudly walked onstage only to be met with a deluge of disappointed guests who shouted “No!” to his arrival at the Camp Flog Gnaw Festival.

His performance as a headline slot was split between Lil Uzi Vert and A$AP Rocky.

However, footage spilled onto social media showing Drake cutting the Californian concert slot short after relentless boos hit hard, supposedly bellowed by Ocean fans.

Tyler, the Creator, reportedly walked off stage after Drake was booed off.

“I’m here for you tonight. If you wanna keep going, I will keep going”, Drake told fans in one video.

However, mobile phone footage showed fans drown out the rapper with a reasoning “No!”

Shortly after, the rapper pulled the plug on the performance.

“Look, it’s been love. I love y’all,” he said.

“I go by the name of Drake, thank you for having me.”

Fans pressured Drake to shutter slot as they wanted Frank Ocean.

An official reason for the cut-short set has not been released by festival organisers.

Yet fan speculation suggested it was because gig attendants demanded Ocean instead of the ‘Passionfruit’ rapper.

Several clips showed fans screaming in seeming agony at Ocean not making an appearance.

According to some fans, attendees allegedly booed not only Drake, but fellow headliners A$AP Rocky and Lil Uzi Vert.

After Drake left the stage, supporters in his inner circle – such as Jaden Smith and Yachty, as well as Tyler himself – walked out backstage.

Several fans have alleged that the wave of dismissal was because fans wanted the ‘Thinkin Bout You’ singer.

Other acts on Sunday’s line-up included Brockhampton, H.E.R, YG and Blood Orange.
