Pose star Indya Moore schooled a transphobic Twitter troll in a seething series of tweets that raised a light on the rising anti-trans crime in the US.

A Twitter user posted a collage earlier this week appearing to show a trans person who has undergone gender-affirmation surgery.

The user, who is allegedly based in Washington DC where several trans women of colour have been murdered, warned his followers to “be careful out here”.

Moore, a trans non-binary model, burst into his mentions to deliver a lesson in treating trans and non-binary people with respect.

Indya Moore: ‘When you attracted to us, you murder us.’

“Be careful of trans women? Ya so damn scared all the time of harmless people who also deserve to be loved,” the 24-year-old wrote.

“If you don’t like, move! If you like, holla.

“Either way, respecting people don’t take nothing from you. We need to be careful of y’all.

“Ya the ones murdering us.”

They continued: “We really don’t want y’all attracted to us.

“Because when you attracted to us you murder us. We just want to live and be left alone.”

Indya Moore lashes out at transphobic troll, reminding him of the rising violence against the community.

Moore, who recently attended a media awards event in an outfit dedicated to murdered trans women, explained: “Stop putting targets on the backs of black trans women.

“Ya’ll so damn fragile when you break we get killed. Heal yourselves please!

“Trans people have existed forever, loving ya [motherf***ers] and being loved by y’all. Get over yourselves.”

They added: “JUST SAY SHE FINE AS HELL AND MOVE ON WITH YOUR DAY. UGH.”

But Moore was in no way done with their masterclass in treating trans folks as human beings – as one user jumped in to say “finish him!”

The actor, who plays Angel Evangelista in the FX series, then remixed the troll’s original post and flipped it right back on him:

Anti-trans violence is on the rise in the US.

Members of one the most vulnerable and marginalised groups in the country have expressed their terror at a time where transphobic hate crime has rocketed in the US.

It is a time where as Democratic candidates are vying for the top nomination in the 2020 presidential race, trans rights have been in the burning spotlight.

A spree of violence has been reported across the States – one that has claimed at least 21 trans people this year alone.

However, these numbers understate the problem, activists warn.

Local officials are not required to report killings to central databases in the US, and as authorities may misgender (as they initially did with Marlowe) many trans people’s deaths may go unreported.
