Many a Grindr user has been there before.

The phone pings, the recognisable black and yellow screen loads up, and it’s a request to join an orgy happening down your road.

You’d be surprised. But perhaps not as surprised as Anton Flowers.

The Californian local was allegedly approached by a Grindr guy to come round his place for an orgy with 10 other guys, but was startled to learn you had to pay a $50 entry fee to reserve a spot.

When Flowers, from Michigan, asked why, he was shocked to know that the guy was raising money to “help the family” of two men killed last week.

Grindr man given chance to ‘reserve a spot’ in orgy for $50 all in the name of charity.

In a viral tweet, Flowers announced: “This…. this is the Grindr message that has killed me.”

In the exchange, which has tallied more than 43,000 likes, it sees Flowers get approached by a local to have group sex.

“Where?” he enquired.

“My house,” the man responded “is 50 dollars to reserve a spot and it’s around ten people coming.”

Flowers bluntly hit a “Nope” and a “Why?” back.

“Cuz [it is] to help the family of the dudes who got [killed] two nights ago,” the Grindr user clarified.

It’s official: Fundraiser car washes are out, ‘charity orgies’ are in, says Twitter.

Considering the chat would easily hit number one of Top 10 Grindr Plot-Twists Nobody Saw Coming, Twitter collectively had a lot of questions about what became collectively called the “charity orgy”.

“I only hope someone would do a charity orgy for me if I died,” a user said. Many wills will now be amended as a result.

Other users began the preparations for their own philanthropic sprees: “I’m gonna do this, but ask attendees to bring a canned good or other non-perishable.

“For families in need this holiday season.”

Another added: “I require a credit card reader, a tax-exempt form, and pictures of the deceased as I enter the house.”

According to Alonso Velez, members of the Californian community “all came together to help out” for the fundraising.

But as one person pointed out:” The family receiving the money is like: ‘thank you for having sex’.”
