After Elizabeth Warren’s searing put down of homophobes, this Republican senator wants you to know he feels ‘disrespected’

Marco Rubio felt personally called out by Senator Elizabeth Warren’s superb response to a question about people who cannot accept same-sex marriage.

Warren was quizzed on her views on gay marriage during CNN’s Equality Town Hall on October 11, and her quick comeback was so perfect it immediately went viral.

Asked how she would respond to someone whose faith teaches them that “marriage is between one man and one woman,” Warren replied: “Well, I’m going to assume it’s a guy who said that.

“And I’m going to say, ‘Then just marry one woman.’ I’m cool with that!”

But apparently this was too much for Florida Republican Marco Rubio, who felt “disrespected” by Warren’s searing put down of homophobes.

“Vividly captures the condescension of elites and their incessant ridicule of Americans with traditional values,” he tweeted. “It elicits glee among celebrities and blue check brigade.

“But for the millions sick of being disrespected it elicits support for fighting back, even in a crude or vulgar way.”

Activist Adam Best quickly replied: “Sorry, dude, but claiming ‘traditional values’ isn’t a get-out-of-jail-free card for bigotry. America’s traditional values are steeped in oppression.”

And others pointed out that Marco Rubio’s hardly one to talk when it comes to being “crude or vulgar” – when he ran against Trump in the 2016 Republican presidential primary, he famously made a not-so-subtle joke hinting at the size of Trump’s penis.

Rubio now supports Trump, a man who openly boasts about grabbing women by the p*ssy.
