A gay couple got engaged right in front of Brie Larson and her reaction should be framed and hung in the Louvre
Brie Larson reacting to a gay couple getting engaged at Comic Con may be the purest thing the internet has ever seen.
Larson was having a photo taken with the two gay fans at Comic Con over the weekend when one of the men unexpectedly got down on one knee.
A series of photographs show Larson’s facial expressions changing rapidly from one of shock to one of unbridled joy.
In the first photo, the man is down on one knee as Larson stares straight at the camera, her mouth hanging open in shock. By the last photo, she had still not managed to contain her excitement.
The moment ‘meant so much’ to gay couple who got engaged with Brie Larson.
John Chambrone was the man who decided to propose to his boyfriend at the event. Writing online after his surprise proposal, he said that he knew proposing to his boyfriend Richard Owen while with Brie Larson would be the perfect moment.
Y’all I was present for a proposal and I am CHANGED. Much love to the happy couple!!!! https://t.co/UMc4WofFja

“I tried to take as little time as possible since I know photo ops are quick so I handed Brie this letter to explain to her why it meant SO much to Richard and I.
“Brie and I both placed the ring on his finger and we could see a tear welling up in her eye. She was truly fantastic and I could not be happier!”
He also posted the text of the letter he sent to Larson.

The couple’s first ‘real date’ was to see Captain Marvel.
“Sorry to ‘ambush’ you with the proposal, but there is a reason why once I knew we were going to meet you, that it would be the perfect opportunity to pledge my love to Richard Owen and promise to love him forever,” he wrote.
“Ever since I was a kid, Carol Danvers has been my favourite character in the comics. From her debut as Ms Marvel, through her Binary and Warbird years and finally full circle as the mighty Captain Marvel, I have followed her adventures and your portrayal of her was so on point!
“I met Richard earlier this year and once our eyes locked for the first time, we both knew we found our soulmates.”
He went on to reveal that their first “real date” together was to see Captain Marvel.
“The movie meant a lot to us and I was so glad that he now shares my passion for the greatest superhero in all the known universes.”
