Queer Eye fans, brace yourselves. The adorable French bulldog Bruley, who made a number of appearances on the show, has passed away.

Producer of the Netflix hit show Michelle Silva confirmed the sad news on social media, writing: “I brought [Bruley] home when he was nine weeks old on a rainy day in New York City. Ten years later on a rainy day in LA, he passed away in my arms on my bedroom floor.”

Silva said that Bruley had been suffering from heart problems, and she had been told that there was a risk that he could suffer a heart attack.

“He just had too much love and heart for his physical body,” she wrote.

“It all happened so fast, but I held him as he took his last breath, and I was able to tell him I loved him the very most.”

The news was also shared through the official Queer Eye Twitter account, where they shared photos of the Fab Five’s precious moments with Bruley.

“RIP to our dear bru bru!” the post said.

“Each time we returned to our loft in Kansas City you were always there to greet us and that brought us so much joy.

“We hope you have an endless supply of treats to munch on.”

Bobby Berk, Queer Eye’s resident interior designer, also mourned the loss of Bruley on Instagram.

“RIP my furry little friend,” Berk wrote. “You brought joy to so many with your jump kisses, grunts and even your farts. You were the best little sidekick we could have had. You will be very missed by all including your mama @tinsley_ who my heart goes out to right now. I love YOU.”

Bruley became Queer Eye‘s breakout hit.

Bruley responded to Berk’s post through his personal Instagram account and wrote: “It’s no secret now. You were my favourite Uncle. Thank you for loving me and my mama.”

Bruley was the surprise breakout star of Queer Eye when he appeared in a number of episodes of the hit show.

He later got his own Instagram account, run by his owner, which currently has almost 300,000 followers.
