This is who the Drag Race UK queens think is the shadiest of them all

Blu Hydrangea

Shade is an institution in RuPaul’s Drag Race, and if the inaugural batch of British queens are to believed, the UK edition will compete with the best of them.

Sum Ting Wong told PinkNews that fans “are going to find someone to love and someone to absolutely f***ing hate” when Drag Race UK begins on Thursday, October 3.

When asked which of the queens she might be referring to, her reaction was blunt.

“Blu Hydrangea is the shadiest motherf***er in the world,” she laughed.

Though the Northern Ireland-born queen appears bright and effervescent, it seems that she is hiding a darker side.

“Blu’s a little dark horse,” said The Vivienne.

“She’s the sweetest person ever and then all of a sudden… she’s hilarious.”

According to Baga Chipz, Blu’s shade is of the subtle variety.

“She’d say ‘Oh Baga, are you wearing that today’, and I’d be like ‘Oh piss off you little bitch.’”

She’d tell me, ‘That wig’s really dry, are you sure you’re going to wear that on the runway?’

“She’s so cute though, it’d be like kicking a puppy,” Baga Chipz added. “I’d demolish her.”

Naturally, when PinkNews asked Blu who she thought threw the most shade, she took a different view.

“On one of our first days The Vivienne said ‘I’m not going easy on you girls,’” she recalled.

“We all said, ‘Oh, we’re all really sweet,’ and then Vivienne said, ‘Well I’m not,’ so the rest said, ‘Well we’re not going to be.'”

Scaredy Kat’s flag was firmly on team Blu, as she agreed: “It’s all her fault.”

For Gothy Kendoll, the truth lay behind the judges table, as she joked that Michelle Visage was the shadiest of them all.

Vinegar Strokes teased that fans will have to “wait and see” to find out the truth, while Crystal struck a more congenial note, admitting: We all have our moments and I think we’re probably going to find out when we see the confessionals. I think everyone saves their shade.”
