Pop star Miley Cyrus has denied cheating on husband Liam Hemsworth and has shed light on a viral “penis cake” she bought for her then boyfriend.

In a candid Twitter thread, Cyrus, who recently separated from Hemsworth, addressed cheating rumours circulating in the press following the split.

She was photographed kissing Kaitlynn Carter shortly after their break-up was announced, which was widely reported by the tabloid media.

Hemsworth, who was in an on-off relationship with Cyrus since 2009, has reportedly filed for divorce following the break-up, citing “irreconcilable differences,” according to TMZ.

The former couple wed in December last year after rekindling their relationship in 2016.

Miley Cyrus says she did not cheat on Liam Hemsworth.

In the wide-ranging thread, Cyrus, who is openly queer, explained that she wanted to be honest with her followers.

“I can accept that the life I’ve chosen means I must live completely open and transparent with my fans who I love, and the public, 100% of the time,” she said on Thursday, August 22.

“What I cannot accept is being told I’m lying to cover up a crime I haven’t committed. I have nothing to hide.”

She then admitted to experimenting with drugs and cheating in relationships when she was younger.

The star also claimed she was “kicked off” the voiceover role for the character Mavis in the 2012 film Hotel Transylvania after she was pictured licking a “penis cake”, which she had bought for Hemsworth’s birthday.

Cyrus went on to say that she had grown up and learned from her experiences.

“But the truth is, once Liam & I reconciled,I meant it, & I was committed,” she continued.

“There are NO secrets to uncover here. I’ve learned from every experience in my life.

“I’m not perfect, I don’t want to be, it’s boring. I’ve grown up in front of you, but the bottom line is, I HAVE GROWN UP.”

Cyrus added: “I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating. Liam and I have been together for a decade.

“I’ve said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will.”

She said that she is “not a liar” and that she had made a “healthy decision for myself to leave a previous life behind.”

Hemsworth has declined to comment to the press about the separation.

But he did post on Instagram to confirm the split.

“Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward,” he posted.

“This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets.

“Any reported quotes attributed to me are false.”
