Just a day after the 10 British queens were finally revealed, the first look at the debut episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK has dropped.

A clip of a cackling Mama Ru strutting the main stage to Cover Girl before introducing Michelle Visage and guest judges English comedian Alan Carr and Hollywood heart-throb Andrew Garfield has sent Twitter into a frenzy.

And with the stateside judges doing their best impressions of Cockney accents, it seems RuPaul has ordered a side of crumpets with tea ahead of the series’ debut in October.

There’s royal talk, Oliver Twists quips and Visage doing her best Dick Van Dyke impression: “Cheery oh!”

But Andrew Garfield won the spotlight when he tells Ru he feels like a competition winner where the prize was “a day in gay heaven”.

Ru replied: “I’ll let you know what ‘gay heaven’ is in a few minutes.”

Alan Carr being one of the first guest judges was to one Twitter user “literally everything I could ask for”.

They said: “If Americans (or anyone really) don’t know who he is, they are in for a real treat! He is hilarious!”

The clip was streamed live on Facebook, as well as being posted on YouTube.

What will Drag Race UK involve?

Drag Race UK was revealed by the BBC back in January after the US edition became a global queer phenonomen. The offical release date dropped earlier this month.

And it seems every UK icon is set to take part, with X Factor judge Cheryl Cole, Spice Girls singer Geri Horner, supermodel Twiggy and Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall all appearing as guest judges.

Lorraine Kelly and Stavey Dooley will appear on the Snatch Game, which is rumoured to be among the best ever recorded.

Strictly favourite AJ Pritchard and his brother, Love Island’s Curtis, will be on hand as dance experts, with singer MNEK also set to appear as vocal coach.
