If you’ve ever wondered how celebrities interact with each other or wondered what it’s like to slide into their DMs, wonder no more.

On Friday (July 26), James Charles posted a video sharing his DMs with major celebs. The YouTube megastar messaged his favourite celebrities asking them to be part of his make-up tutorial.

The “DMing a bunch of celebrities challenge,” as Charles described it, involved DMing celebs for their favourite make-up products.

Here below are all the celebrities who actually responded.

Foundation tips

Charles asked Rihanna what foundation she would use. She replied: “I’m so honored and grateful! But you already know you gotta use the PROFILT’R foundation!!! Start it all off right!”

Concealer tips

Charles messaged Zara Larsson for her foundation tips. The YouTuber admitted to having had “beef” with the Swedish singer in the past but said they had since talked things through and were “good sisters” now.

Larsson replied: “eeaassyyy question, its definitely make up forevers full cover extreme camouflage hahaha WHAT FLAWS?!”

“I have a lot of red marks from acne and I get black rings under my eyes cause i never sleep hehe and that one is f**king magic,” she admitted in a second message.

Setting powder tips

The YouTuber messaged singer and songwriter Kim Petras for advice on setting powder. The last message Petras sent Charles was: “Ughhh I love u b****”

She answered: “Sister of course !!! U the b**** with the sauce !!!! Deff fenty beauty loose powder in butter ? luv u , woo Ah !”

Primer tips

Charles sent a DM to Iggy Azalea for primer tips. The singer replied: “I have no idea what primer to tell you because I never use any ??You know My makeup routine is trash lmao.”

After a few exchanges, she told him: “I like the Chanel soleil one.”

Millie Bobby Brown, AKA Eleven in Netflix’s Stranger Things, responded to Charles’ request for blusher tips.

She wrote: “I like Charlotte tilbury.

“Anyone one u want you’ll look BOOTIFULL,” she added.

American singer Madison Beer shared her eyebrow routine with Charles.

When DMing Kim Kardashian West, Charles starts his message with “hi mom.”

After telling Charles about a video she made with her make-up artist, Kardashian recommends the Sooo Fire palette for eyeshadow, from her own brand, KKW BEAUTY.

Paris Hilton answered Charles by sending him a video of her own products. She also sent him a basket of every product from her make-up line so he could try her mascara.

Troye Sivan is the first male celebrity Charles contacted. He had the following highlighter tips for the YouTuber: “it’s gotta be the Glossier niteshine” and “rosehip oil for a good natural glow.”

Kylie Jenner did not answer right away about her favourite products but told him she would send them to his house. He received some Kylie Cosmetics, including the Snow Way Bae lip kit — a matte liquid lipstick and matching lip liner.
