PinkNews Awards 2019: Third Sector Equality Award nominees revealed

The National Trust wins Third Sector Equality Award at the PinkNews 2018.

PinkNews is excited to announce the Third Sector Equality Award nominees for the PinkNews Awards 2019.

The nominees were announced at the PinkNews summer reception in Cardiff, an event held to celebrate the LGBT+ community in Wales, reflect on recent legislative successes, and announce or outline planned legislation.

The Third Sector Equality Award highlights the work of LGBT+ networks and diversity within third sector organisations.

Nominees include social worker training charity Frontline, which ensures social workers can provide high quality support to LGBT+ young people, Victim Support which holds the top charity spot as a Stonewall Top Trans Inclusive employer and has been a Stonewall top 100 Employer since 2010, and Tate Galleries which launched the the first ever exhibition dedicated to queer British art in 2017.

Last year’s award was taken home by the National Trust for leading the efforts in highlighting LGBT+ heritage across the country and further afield.

The nominees for the Third Sector Equality Award are:

  • Tate Galleries
  • Victim Support
  • Frontline
  • The Bishopsgate Institute
  • The Wellcome Trust

The PinkNews Awards, which recognises achievements and support for LGBT+ rights across a wide range of sectors and activities, will take place on October 16 2019.
