Was James Charles' online merch store shut down by Jeffrey Star?

YouTuber and make-up artist James Charles’ online merch store Sisters Apparel has vanished from the internet, and fans think Jeffree Star might have been responsible.

Star is the owner of Killer Merch, which—up until now—distributed James Charles’ brand, according to Cosmopolitan.

However, following claims made about Charles’ conduct with straight men, his website Sisters Apparel has vanished, which has led some fans to suspect Star had some involvement.

Star has made his feelings clear in the online feud between Charles and his one-time mentor, Tati Westbrook.

Jeffree Star: James Charles is ‘a danger to society’

He posted a tweet in the aftermath of the feud which read: “There is a reason that Nathan banned James Charles from ever coming over to our home again. There’s a reason why I haven’t seen him since @GlamLifeGuru’s birthday in February. He is a danger to society. Everything Tati said is 100% true.” The tweet has since been deleted.

Now, fans are speculating that Star may have been instrumental in bringing Sisters Apparel to a grinding halt.

One Twitter user posted: “Jeffree Star owns the company that James Charles used for his merch and literally deleted the website and closed down his whole merch line after the Tati video released. You can’t even get on his website anymore.”

Meanwhile, Star’s company website Killer Merch currently has no reference to Sisters Apparel.

James Charles has lost more than 2 million subscribers since Tati Westbrook released her side of the story

James Charles made headlines last Friday when his long-time mentor and friend Tati Westbrook, who also runs a highly successful YouTube channel, released a 43-minute long video ending her friendship with him.

In the video, Westbrook attacked her fellow YouTuber for regularly joking about having sex with straight men.

She said: “You tried tricking a straight man into thinking he’s gay yet again, and somehow you’re the victim.

“You are using your fame, your power, your money to play with people’s emotions.”

“You know, it’s really disgusting to manipulate someone’s sexuality, especially when they are still emerging into adulthood and don’t have everything quite figured out.

“You are using your fame, your power, your money to play with people’s emotions.

“You’re threatening to ruin them. You’re threatening to embarrass them. And you’re doing that to have them behave sexually in your favour, even if they’re straight.

“And you know what? That’s not okay. That behaviour’s not OK.”

James Charles said he wished he hadn’t commented on boys online

In a response video, James Charles said: “Boys have been a topic that I’ve talked a lot about on my social media journey, and I wish I hadn’t.

“I’ve been involved in a lot of very unique and strange situations that have left people confused or upset, and I learned the hard way about ways I can interact with boys I’m interested in.

“This is a conversation that I know a lot of people are uncomfortable with, and it’s something I should have been far more careful with, bringing into the public eye.”
